1. Product Overview

This pole-mounted switch assembly line is used for the assembly, adjustment, testing, and line-off transfer of pole-mounted switches, applicable to pole-mounted circuit breakers, pole-mounted load break switches, pole-mounted disconnectors, and other 10kV/12kV outdoor distribution equipment. Pole-mounted switches are installed on poles of overhead distribution lines, performing line sectionalizing, tie switching, fault isolation, and protection functions, and are key equipment for distribution network automation.

The pole-mounted switch assembly line adopts a linear layout based on roller conveyors. Switch bodies pass sequentially through assembly workstations, adjustment workstations, and inspection workstations along the conveying channel, with dedicated locating fixtures throughout, realizing a production mode of “product flows on the line, workstations stay fixed” for heavy products, reducing manual handling and ensuring assembly consistency. The entire pole-mounted switch production line is customized per customer product model and capacity requirements.

2. System Configuration

2.1 Conveying and Transfer System

• Double-row roller conveyors form the main conveying channel with a linear layout and one-way material flow, suitable for continuous switch body transfer
• Optional lift transfer units and buffer sections between workstations to ensure smooth transfer and takt alignment
• Blue locating fixture frames secure product positions to prevent shifting or tipping during transfer

2.2 Assembly Workstation Modules

• Workstations are arranged on both sides of the conveying line to complete pole-mounted switch body assembly
• Typical operations: installation of insulating bushings (porcelain / silicone rubber), assembly and adjustment of operating mechanisms, assembly of contacts and arc-extinguishing components, installation of current transformers
• Operating mechanisms include spring-operated and permanent magnet mechanisms, selected per customer product design

2.3 Inspection and Adjustment Workstations

• Open/close operation testing of operating mechanisms (mechanical characteristic inspection)
• Nameplate and serial number verification, and signing of factory inspection records; workstations equipped with standard operating procedures (SOP) and inspection forms
• Optional integration of insulation resistance testing and withstand voltage testing

2.4 Material and Storage Support

• Blue material racks and tote bins in the background area store parts such as springs, shafts, and insulating components; a carton packing area supports finished product packaging and accessory kitting management

2.5 Line Control and Information System

• PLC controls conveying takt and workstation interlocking; optional electronic Kanban for production progress display
• Reserved MES data interface for electronic inspection records and product traceability

3. Process Flow

Enclosure and insulating parts loading → insulating bushing installation → operating mechanism assembly and adjustment → contact and arc-extinguishing component assembly → current transformer installation → mechanical characteristic inspection (open/close testing) → electrical inspection (insulation / withstand voltage) → inspection record signing → labeling and packaging → line-off.
